Hi families,
This week we’ve been working on getting used to a new schedule of being outside in the morning to let out our energy and then we come in ready to daven followed by a winter circle. We added a song about penguins to our circle which our friends love. We also of course love our music and movement so this week we’ve had a couple of dance parties where we used colorful scarves and egg shakers to dance along to the music.
The children are really enjoying coloring and doing stickers. We will be sending home artwork soon so you may see the beautiful pieces they’ve created. We all are also learning how to calm our bodies down when we feel overwhelmed. We have to go to the cozy corner to get back into our green zone, a centered body. Sometimes we might choose to take a toy away from a friend’s hand, but we’ve been talking to our friends about how we need ask for it or ask if they’re done. Waiting is hard but we are working on it along with turn taking.
